Ginatenance had a busy day yesterday and all tyre related.
After the spare wheel job we moved on to Audra, a driving school car at Liberty K53 Driving School by Eugene Mathews. She was in need of two new front tyres so we took her to Best Drive L&Z Auto Centre in Maitland where she was fitted with Dunlop SP Touring tyres, the slightly cheaper equivalent to the Good Year Efficient Grip Compact tyres she wore these past three years/49000 km.
Audra's wheel alignment was reset and she resumed teaching duty as soon as she was done. Audra rides again!

It's a busy day in Ginatenanceland!
LaToya is a 2022 Toyota Starlet about to do a few long distance trips this festive season but her spare wheel is one of those space savers. We were contacted and the search for a 15 inch rim and a new tyre was initiated. First we phoned Toyota for a quote (R2270) then searched Facebook Marketplace where they had what we were looking for but mainly in a set of four. Then we phoned Suzuki who were selling new 15 inch Suzuki Baleno rims for R1100 but they also mentioned they have a second hand rim laying around, we could buy it for R600 which was by far the best deal!
Next we were off to BestDrive L&Z Auto Centre in Maitland to buy and fit a new tyre to the rim and off on her first long trip with a proper spare wheel LaToya goes!

Our final Ginatenance car for the year is a Mercedes-Benz GLA200 in need of four tyres. Finding the proper sized run flat tyres proved a bit more challenging than usual but in the end Tonnesen Fitment Centre in Claremont was able to supply the tyres at the most cost effective price. We will definitely be making use of their services again in the not too distant future!

Eugene Mathews from Liberty Driving Academy by Eugene Mathews noticed some fine cracks on his the left rear tyre of Audra, his 2006 Ford Fiesta, and decided to replace both back tyres so off to Tyremart CPT he went where Waleed Mathews (no relation) was on hand to give the legendary service he is known for. The front wheels were moved to the back, the new tyres were fitted in front, wheel alignment was checked and off they went on their merry way.
