🔧 What is the G4FC engine
• G4FC is part of Hyundai/Kia’s “Gamma” family of engines.
• It is a 1.6-litre, inline 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine with DOHC (dual overhead camshaft) and 16 valves.
• The engine uses multi-point fuel injection (MPI) and has a timing chain (not a belt).
• The block and head are aluminum, making the engine relatively light.
🚗 Common Vehicles That Use G4FC
The G4FC engine was fitted to a variety of Hyundai and Kia models — typically compact cars, hatchbacks, sedans and small hatchback-SUVs.
Examples include:
• Hyundai Accent, i20, i30, Elantra (older generations)
