✈️ Recently completed commission – Light Aircraft Illustration

Most people know me for drawing classic cars, muscle cars and race cars…

But every now and then something a little different lands on the drawing board.

This custom aircraft commission recently took flight, complete with cockpit detail and the owner’s specific colour scheme.

I have to admit, drawing an aircraft is a completely different challenge to drawing a car — but that’s part of what makes commissioned artwork interesting. Every project teaches you something new.

Thank you Martin for the challenge! I hope you like it!

Question for the aviation enthusiasts:

If you could own any aircraft purely for fun, what would it be?

A bush plane?
A warbird?
An aerobatic aircraft?
Or something completely different?

Not every commission is a sports car.

Sometimes it’s the vehicle that carried tools, parts, projects, and memories.

This custom pickup was recently completed for a client and was a pleasure to illustrate.

The real question I have… Why is this not parked in my driveway? I might be an Alfa Romeo addict, but man! I’d like this!

No disrespect to South African El Camino owners, but this American version is absolutely gorgeous. Why did we get the Aussie version and not this?
