MyCiTi Bus gets their first seven EV buses, built in Johannesburg, with 13 more arriving in December. A growing fleet to get more Cape Town commutes travelling by e-Mobility.

📢 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

The first batch of seven battery-electric MyCiTi buses has arrived in Cape Town, following the successful trial of the City's first prototype electric bus earlier this year.

The new buses will undergo further testing, commissioning and driver training before being deployed on the N2 Express routes linking Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain with the Cape Town C*D. These buses may also be deployed to other routes, based on operational requirements and passenger demand.

⚡ This marks another important step towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly public transport system.

Here's the latest EV into the South African market. The Arcfox from BAIC, and Cars.co.za has the news.

Another affordable EV has entered the chat! ⚡👀

Meet the Arcfox T1, the latest electric newcomer to hit South African roads, and its price tag might just get your attention! 🇿🇦

Starting at R359 900, the T1 officially becomes South Africa's 5th most affordable electric vehicle. But here's where things get interesting… it's actually bigger than the BYD Dolphin Surf, Geely E2 and Chery Q! 🚗🔥

With a claimed driving range of 310 km and two derivatives to choose from, the T1 is looking to shake things up in the growing affordable EV segment.

But is R359 900 enough to convince South Africans to make the switch to electric? 🤔
