This old girl runs perfect and presents exceptionally well. She was extremely well maintained by the owner for many years.

The paintwork is in great condition from front to back and was done as per the factory.

Her interior was redone and is also as per factory spec, or as close as possible. It all presents well.

Mechanically we cannot think of a better L15….the original engine purrs and goes as it should. A real driver experience!

The livery and roofrack are all easily removed should the new owner want a more original car.

The Chevrolet Imp LDV is not simply an old pickup — it is a unique local creation. In period, General Motors South Africa converted the Chevrolet passenger car platform into a light delivery vehicle (“LDV”), creating a practical workhorse for the local market. These factory conversions were built in very small numbers, making surviving examples exceptionally scarce today. Similar period South African and Rhodesian Chevrolet utility conversions are well documented, showing how unique these locally adapted workhorses were.

This particular example has been beautifully restored and presents exceptionally well throughout. It retains its matching-numbers engine and its original charm, while benefiting from the addition of air-conditioning for improved usability.
