Important Update for Clothing Manufacturers (Zimbabwe)

The Government has gazetted Statutory Instrument 8 of 2026 (effective 9 January 2026) introducing a Customs Duty Suspension on specified materials imported or removed from bond for clothing manufacturing. (Applicable only to Registered Manufacturers)

🔹 This replaces the old SI 298 of 2021.
🔹 Customs duty is suspended, but VAT is payable.
🔹 Aimed at supporting local clothing manufacturers.
