Winners are grinners! Rodney Jane has secured Pro-Am round victory in Round 6 of Porsche Carrera Cup Australia on the streets of the Gold Coast - snatching two victories and a podium in class.

Angelo brought the #999 home in ninth overall, steering clear of the action unfolding around him to deliver an encouraging result following his crew’s mammoth efforts repairing the Porsche overnight.

Both Rodney and Angelo remained composed, commitment and consistent in varying conditions throughout Round 6. With just one round remaining in this year’s championship, Team Sonic carries with it plenty of pace heading into the Adelaide Grand Final.

Heavy rain and aquaplaning brought an early end to Race 2 this morning. Rodney was the second car home in Pro Am class, while Angelo settled back into his groove to be P8 overall.

Race 3 coming up at 13:25 AEST this afternoon.

Teamwork makes the dream work. An incredible push by Team Sonic overnight, they worked until 4AM this morning repairing Angelo’s Porsche ready for two races today at Surfers Paradise.

A massive thanks and congratulations to our team of dedicated legends for going above and beyond the call of duty and supporting us when it matters most.

Rodney Jane mastered mixed weather conditions to win Pro Am class, making up three spots throughout the shortened race.

An unfortunate end to the race for Angelo Mouzouris, the team are assessing the front of the car following contact at the Turn 1 chicane.

23/10/2026

A day of speed and spills for Sonic’s trio of Bob Jane T-Marts’ Porsches.

Angelo Mouzouris ended the day in P10, continuing his strong form at the Gold Coast street track.

Rodney Jane claimed P3 in the Pro-Am class, while Marcos Flack was the victim of a heavy clout with the notorious concrete, crashing at the first chicane.

After assessing the car, Sonic has determined that the car can’t be repaired at the circuit and will take it back to Melbourne for further inspection.

23/10/2026

Strong opening Practice session for Team Sonic at the Gold Coast 500. Ange was quick from the get go in slippery conditions to finish P2 outright, with Marcos in P7. Rodney meanwhile has claimed second in Am class.
