Ford custom factory crew cab swb
This van came to us for a change of seats, everyone knows factory crew cabs are uncomfortable and not practical in most cases
The seat is just a bolt up right fixed position which isn’t very comfortable and with the plastic bulkhead ect limits the full use of the van many customers opt to start with a crew cab though for the factory quarter pop privacy glass, twin sliding doors and nice factory door panels
Removed the factory kit
Fitted 3x new generation tourneo seats
Customer supplied his own on this one ( we have realised one seat is the wrong colour)
Rails flush mounted into the floor
36mm depth solid ply wood flooring Sealed down not screwed, joint filled and sanded to hide the join beneath the altro flooring
Black contrax altro flooring
New factory threshold trim to the rear
Lino return across the front of the floor to finish off the factory crew cab floor trim
On this van we fitted some factory ford tourneo titanium X sliding door trims which come as 2 parts a black plastic step with a chrome infill panel, these tie in lovely with the rest of the van especially when the door is closed and the sliding door panel is sat above just gives the factory finished look
Refitted the rear ply lining panels after cutting around 25mm off the bottoms to allow for the new floor
If anyone is in the market to buy a crew cab I can pass details on to you as he will be listing it for sale. It’s in black leather sport trim and very good condition full kit minus the headlining
As always a fair few photos added just to show the depth of craftsmanship and pride we take in very build whether it’s just a seat install or full build. The Lino is cut in properly no edges sticking up, no large gaps, join in the wood not visible, no Lino riding up the edges it’s all laid perfectly flat and finished to the highest of standards
Seat installation wise we have touched on it often on posts but a little insight into the seat rails being mounted, these seats wasn’t supplied with bolts but we are able to supply bolts. 40mm m12 bolts, standard m12 washer up top to fit in the tight rails then underneath a 100x100 spreader plate which is pre painted one side a m12 3mmx37mm washer and a nyloc nut to secure all then finished off in underseal to protect the hardware
