Finally a breakthrough for Volvo tuning.

Tidy XC60 D4 in for tuning, this housing the later gen2 Ecu which only recently became possible to tune thanks to autotuner tool 😎

These ecu’s are fitted to almost all 2018+ Volvo’s so has been a long time waiting for this one, diary rammed with Volvo’s for next couple of weeks. Anyone else with one looking to get booked in now is the time :)

Nice additional 40bhp & 60nm gained with our tune, smooth factory like power delivery

Abarth 1.4T-Jet in for tuning today

Very healthy example, going on to make great power with huge midrange volume with a couple of revisions to get everything dialled in.

Peaking just over 40bhp gain but 60+bhp gain in the midrange, should be night and day difference on the road.

Last thing you expect to see after having Adblue removed…

Customer popped in with their Vito after Adblue malfunction popped up on the dash, confused as they had it deleted locally a couple of weeks ago 🙈

Found the module was still plugged in, unplugged it to try and then had EML, no communication to SCR module. Ideal 😂

Took a read of the Ecu and found the solution incomplete and majority of the DTC table wiped.

Started from scratch and all lights eliminated, for good this time 🫡

All about the area under the curve 😎
Amarok 2.0BiTDI in for tuning.

Initial runs on the Dyno identified it was in fact already tuned and software solutions carried out but judging by the datalogs and the customers comments on the vehicle I knew we could do better.

We flashed back to stock to get a baseline and ensure no underlying issues which showed a poor 15bhp and 24nm gained from the previous tune. Now these don’t gain huge peak power it’s all about the midrange gain. In fact I’ve had several over the years opt against tuning the bitdi’s because ‘och it’s only around 25bhp gain will hardly notice that’

What people overlook is if you are gaining 100nm of torque that bhp increase in the midrange is huge.

On paper we only achieved 26bhp peak from this Amarok but we also gained around 30-35bhp from 2k all the way through along with 104nm. I’m certain the customer will notice a huge difference compared how it came in even.

Proven gains of 26bhp & 104nm over stock and 11bhp & 70nm over previous tune

We got there in the end!

Audi A4 1.8TFSI in for tuning, this was in few months ago but quickly identified a serious choke midway through the sweep. The boost died off as if it was hitting a wall and EGT’s going through the roof. We suspected the original cat had failed and was choking which was stalling the turbo.

Back armed with a downpipe fitted and the issue eliminated we managed to finish off the tuning session and see some nice power increase.

We have had these absolutely dialled for years now, hundreds tuned with massively improvements but most importantly super smooth delivery. Very easy to make power on these being detuned but it’s always how you deliver the power that is the key to tuning these.
