A 70ft narrowboat built on a 2008 shell by Colecraft and launched in 2011, she features a practical reverse layout, with a forward bedroom, walkthrough shower room, central saloon, and a spacious galley and utility area leading through to the engine room and traditional stern.

The galley is equipped with gas cooking (including a five-burner hob), fridge, separate freezer, and washing machine, with dining at a breakfast bar.

Heating is via the diesel boiler to radiators and towel rail, with a solid fuel stove in the saloon. Onboard power is flexible, with a Dometic Travel Power generator, Victron inverter/charger, shoreline connection, and solar support. Propulsion is by a Beta JD3 Tug diesel engine, aided by a bow thruster.

The traditional layout offers comfortable and practical accommodation, including an aft bedroom, shower room with pump-out wc, galley with gas cooking, microwave and fridge, and forward saloon with convertible seating for guests and a table for dining.

Central heating is via an Alde gas boiler, while 230V power is via a landline or Mastervolt 2kW inverter, with a separate Mastervolt 35A battery charger.

Betsy is a 62ft 7in cruiser stern narrowboat built by Black Prince in 2013 on a Pro Build shell.

A standout feature is her recently repainted superstructure, completed just before coming to market, giving her a clean and refreshed external appearance.

Originally built for the hire fleet, Betsy offers a practical and adaptable layout suited to extended cruising or liveaboard use. The aft cabin has been configured with a four-seater bench area, ideal for dining or use as a workspace, while the layout allows access to two shower rooms without passing through sleeping areas.

She sleeps up to four and is powered by a Canaline 42hp engine with PRM 150 hydraulic gearbox, and an Aquadrive coupling to help reduce noise and vibration. Heating is via Eberspacher diesel central heating, with hot water from the engine and boiler. A 2kW inverter/charger provides 230V power when off-grid.

Heating is via an Autoterm diesel system, with hot water from the engine, boiler, or immersion. Off-grid capability is supported by a Victron 3kW inverter, solar panels, and onboard battery system.

What a fantastic weekend we had at Crick Boat Show, despite the scorching weather!

It was such a pleasure to catch up with past customers and hear how much they are still enjoying life on the water.

We also had the opportunity to speak with many people just beginning their boating journey, and we hope to have the chance to play a part in helping some of them find the right boat.

As always, it was great to network and catch up with other professionals. There is something invaluable about taking the time to chat with fellow brokers and industry colleagues, discussing how things are evolving within the inland waterways world.

We took part in a British Marine Inland masterclass, where we were proud to offer guidance on the top ten things to look for when buying a boat.

Tim got to meet Amy and Wes which made his weekend!

Finally, as a family run business, it was especially lovely to welcome my parents, and Dan’s grandparents to the stand.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us, we had a great weekend, and we wish Ian from Waterways World a very happy retirement.
