🚗⚡ Peugeot 508 Hybrid – High Voltage A/C Compressor Replacement ⚡❄️

This Peugeot 508 Hybrid came into the workshop with a rumbling high-voltage air conditioning compressor that had become noisy whenever operated.

Working on hybrid and electric vehicles requires the highest level of safety.

Before any work began, we:

🚧 Cordoned off the work area and displayed high-voltage warning signs.

👨‍🔧 Ensured only authorised technicians were permitted in the area.

📖 Followed the manufacturer's technical procedures step by step.

The vehicle was then safely isolated by:

🔋 Removing and locking out the high-voltage safety interlock.

🔌 Disconnecting both 12V batteries. ⚡

🔌Disconnecting the traction battery's main high-voltage connectors. ⚡

✅ Carried out dead testing to confirm the system was fully de-energised before any repairs began.

With the vehicle safely isolated, we replaced the faulty high-voltage A/C compressor, fitted new A/C pipe seals and then recommissioned both the high-voltage and 12V electrical systems.

❄️ The air conditioning system was placed under a deep vacuum to remove moisture before being recharged with the correct quantity of R1234yf refrigerant.

After thorough testing, the repair was a complete success! 🎉

The air conditioning is now operating smoothly and quietly, with the rumbling noise completely gone, leaving the customer with a cool, comfortable drive once again. 😎❄️

🚗✨ Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec Interim Service ✨🔧

This Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec came in for its annual interim service, including:

🛢️ Fresh engine oil
🔩 New oil filter
⚡ New spark plugs
🌬️ New air filter
🍃 New pollen filter

One thing that really stood out was the condition of the old engine oil, it was still a lovely golden colour! 💛

Although this Fiesta doesn't cover many miles each year, regular servicing isn't just about mileage it's about protecting your engine, reducing wear, improving reliability, and helping to extend the life of your vehicle. 💪🚘

To finish things off, we treated it to our signature engine bay deep clean, leaving it looking just as good under the bonnet as it does on the road. ✨🧼

🐆 Jaguar XF – Service & Brake Overhaul 🔧

This Jaguar XF came into the workshop for an oil and filter service, rear discs & pads and front lower suspension arms.

🛢️ Engine oil drained and replaced with fresh oil
🌬️ New air, pollen & oil filter fitted
🦾 New front lower suspension arms installed
🛞 New rear brake discs & pads fitted

During our inspection we found the rear brakes were well past their best, with heavily lipped discs and brake pads worn almost down to the backing plates. 😬

We also discovered one of the rear brake calipers had seized, so we replaced it with a brand-new unit. We inspected the brake fluid and discovered it was contaminated, so we carried out a full brake fluid change and bled the system to restore safe, reliable braking performance. 💪🛑

✨ We finished the job with our signature ADR Engine Bay Deep Clean, leaving this Jaguar looking as good under the bonnet as it drives on the road.

🔧 Ford Ka Back to Its Best! 🚗✨

This Ford Ka came into the workshop needing a replacement gearbox, clutch, and air conditioning condenser.

🛠️ Once the car was safely on the ramp, we stripped everything back to gain access to the gearbox. The old box was removed and replaced with a refurbished gearbox, before filling it with fresh transmission oil.

❄️ Next, we replaced the A/C condenser, carried out a full vacuum test and recharged the air conditioning system, ready to keep the driver cool all summer long.

✨ To finish the job, we treated it to our signature ADR Engine Bay Clean, leaving everything looking as good as it performs.

Another quality repair completed and another happy customer back on the road! 💙

For this BMW 420i we treated the engine to a Liquid Moly Engine Flush to help loosen deposits.🛢️✨

We also replaced the pollen filter which was tucked away in the passenger footwell making it a bit of a fiddly job, but judging by the amount of dirt trapped in the old filter, it was definitely overdue! 🌬️🍃

🔧 Volvo XC90 Steering Rack Replacement 🚙

This Volvo came into the workshop with excessive play in the steering rack.👨‍🔧

To gain access, we first had to remove the subframe along with the associated mounts and brackets, once the original rack was out we compared it with the replacement supplied.…only to discover it wasn't the same due to a different electrical connector. ❌⚡

Rather than fit the wrong part, we sent the original steering rack away for professional refurbishment. A few days later it returned fully rebuilt and ready to be refitted. 💪

After reassembly and final checks, this XC90 was back on the road steering smoothly and handling exactly as it should. ✅

2018 Ford Focus EcoBoost | ~65,000 miles

This one came to us after being recovered in with the oil warning light on ‼️the engine management light illuminated, and a horrible rattling noise 😬

A quick diagnosis confirmed the usual wet-belt failure. Unfortunately, the lack of lubrication had also caused damage to several other components

🔧 Work carried out:
✅ Full wet-belt kit
✅ New inlet camshaft adjuster
✅ New oil control bolt to eliminate the start-up rattle
✅ New oil pump – the original had been starved of oil, so it wasn't worth the risk
✅ New turbocharger after lubrication failure took its toll
✅ Full service using our preferred Purflux filters and Liqui Moly 5W/20 ECOB oil

We always recommend Liqui Moly or Castrol oils for Ford wet-belt engines, along with regular servicing using the correct oil specification.

Finished off with our usual engine bay spruce-up, and this Ecosport is back on the road and ready for many more miles. 👌

The EcoBoost isn't as bad as its reputation suggests. Service them properly, use the correct grade of oil and keep on top of maintenance, they're every bit as capable as the alternatives.

Keeping up with your wet belt service is one of the best ways to avoid costly engine repairs. Here's what we include in our regular wet belt replacement package:

✅ Timing belt & tensioner
✅ Oil pump belt
✅ Crankshaft seal
✅ New crank bolt & friction washer
✅ Rocker cover gasket
✅ Timing cover waterway gasket
✅ Water pump
✅ Turbo to catalytic converter gasket
✅ New studs & copper fl**ge nuts
✅ Vacuum pump gasket
✅ Injector seals (where required)

While we're in there, we also clean and inspect:

🔧 Vacuum pump oil feed
🔧 The hidden turbo oil feed filter
🔧 Camshaft adjuster feed bolt centres, including cleaning the internal gauze filters

🚨 Sudden engine vibration? Don't ignore it!

Volvo S90 D4

This car came to us after developing a severe engine judder with reduced performance and the engine management light on. 😟

The customer was understandably worried as this happened suddenly while she was driving, but thankfully she was local enough to carefully nurse the car to us. It was a very hot day and with her youngest child in tow, our first priority was getting them both in reception with a nice cold drink while we got to work. 🥤☀️

After carrying out a diagnostic scan, we quickly traced the fault to a failed injector on cylinder 1. 💻🔍

A replacement injector was ordered for next-day delivery, which unfortunately meant the car had to stay with us overnight.

Once the new injector arrived, we:
✅ Fitted the new injector
✅ Reprogrammed the injectors
✅ Cleared the fault codes
✅ Carried out final checks and test drive

✨ Finished off with our complimentary engine bay clean and another family was safely back on the road. 🚗💨
