A little update on the chassis rail replacement job, its all square, welded, and seam sealed using 3m 2 part seam sealer to replicate the factory finish. After these images it was painted by Sophie and is ready for reassembly before it heads back to Toyota in Napier for the engine install .

On such a new vehicle its important to ensure it looks like it was never repaired .

A cool little trick the guys use to ensure badges are straight and centred!

One of the larger jobs we have done in recent times , this Toyota rav 4 is in for a right hand chassis rail replacement , it had a bend just behind the factory sectioning point meaning our only option was to replace the entire unit. This is a manufacturer approved method.

We have just bolted the rail to a jig tower and tomorrow we will measure the chassis and position the rail to the manufacturer's measurements before welding it in place .
The job is being done by Ricky and once painted it will go back to Toyota in Napier for the engine to be reinstalled .

We've recently installed a 35.1 kW solar system at our our collision repair facility, helping us reduce our reliance on grid electricity and lower our environmental footprint.

The early results are encouraging:

⚡ Over 238 kWh of solar energy generated in a single day

🔋 Almost 70% of our workshop's electricity needs covered by solar on a recent working day

🌱 Lower operating costs and a more energy-efficient business
