Myth: It started threading, so it must be the right pitch.
Truth: NPT, Metric, and AN are NOT interchangeable - no matter how hard you push.

Threading the wrong fitting into your block or fuel rail is the fastest way to turn a 5-minute job into a full weekend teardown. 🛑

If it feels tight after a turn and a half, stop. Check the thread, check the pitch, and get the right adapter.
