NOW THAT I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION…

Can we just take a minute and appreciate this weather?!
Crisp mornings, sunshine, beautiful fall colors, and temperatures that make you wanna say, “Yep… THIS is why we live here.”

Now if we could just do something about the INSANE amount of bugs floating around.

Them little bastard no-see-ums especially.
You can’t see the damn things, but apparently they CAN see ME.
I’ve been getting attacked like I’m the last meal at a Minnesota bug buffet.

But while we’re enjoying this beautiful Minnesota fall, tis the season, folks. 👀

Winter ain’t here yet… but she’s standing in the driveway with her arms crossed, waiting.

So now is a damn good time to start thinking about:

WINTER TIRES — before everybody remembers at the exact same time that Minnesota has winter.

HEADLIGHTS — Are they actually lighting up the road, or are they just glowing yellow like two tired fireflies?

WINDSHIELD WIPERS — If they leave more streaks than a teenager cleaning a bathroom, we need to talk.

HEAT — And this one matters. How well is that car REALLY heating? Don’t wait until it’s -10° and you’re sitting there blowing lukewarm air wondering why you didn’t get it checked in October.

🍂🥶 OH YEAHHHH… NOW THIS IS A MINNESOTA MORNING. 🥶🍂

That crisp air. That little bite on the face when you walk outside. Leaves starting to turn. Coffee hitting different. And for once, you step outside and your clothes AIN’T STICKING TO YOUR ASS. 😂😂

THIS… THIS IS OUR JAM. 🤘

Fall in Minnesota is straight-up gangster. One day it’s 47° and you’re wearing a hoodie feeling like a lumberjack… next day Mother Nature decides she’s got a personal grudge and it’s 78° with humidity thick enough to chew. 🤣

But THIS morning? PERFECTION. 👌

We absolutely LOVE this time of year here at Rock Street Auto. The cool mornings, the changing leaves, football, bonfires, and that smell in the air that tells you winter is lurking around the corner like, “Don’t get too comfortable, boys… I’ll be here soon.” 😂

So enjoy the hell outta today, Minnesota. Get that coffee. Take the long way to work. Roll the windows down. LET THAT FALL AIR HIT YOU IN THE FACE. 🍁

The leaves are changing. The mornings are getting colder. The Vikings are doing… well… whatever the hell the Vikings are doing. 😂🏈

And somewhere between pumpkin spice and the first damn snowflake, your vehicle is about to enter THE MINNESOTA SURVIVAL SEASON. ❄️🥶

So before the roads turn into a salt-covered demolition derby, take 10 minutes and check your ride:

The leaves are starting to turn, the grill is fired up, the Vikings are on the TV, and somewhere in Minnesota a guy is already yelling at the screen like the offensive coordinator can hear him. 😂

And if you know me, you know I’m gonna find a way to turn EVERYTHING into a vehicle analogy…

Vikings football is a lot like working on an old Minnesota vehicle.

Sometimes it runs smooth.
Sometimes it makes a noise nobody can explain.
Sometimes you swear to God you just fixed the damn thing.
And sometimes… IT JUST NEEDS TO HOLD TOGETHER FOR ONE MORE DRIVE. 😂

Well folks, Labor Day is here… which means it’s time for everybody to celebrate the American tradition of working your ass off all year so you can take one damn Monday off. 😂

Rock Street Auto will be CLOSED Monday for Labor Day so the crew can kick back, relax, eat some questionable amounts of food, and pretend we don’t have a phone ringing somewhere.

And for the love of God… can somebody please turn OFF this damn Minnesota humidity?! 🥵💦

You walk outside and it feels like you just crawled into a wet sleeping bag with a radiator. You don’t even have to sweat anymore — you just become moist. 😂

Alright folks… Wally here.

Every once in a while I gotta put the tools down, wipe the grease off my hands, and actually say THANK YOU.

And I mean it.

THANK YOU to every damn customer who has ever brought us a vehicle.

Whether you’ve been coming here for years, you just found us last Tuesday, you brought us a $60,000 pickup, a 20-year-old be**er held together by rust and Minnesota prayers, or something in between…

WE APPRECIATE THE HELL OUT OF YOU. ❤️

You trust us with your vehicles, your hard-earned money, your kids’ vehicles, your work vehicles, your family vehicles — hell, sometimes you trust us with vehicles that have made noises so terrifying that even the Snap-on scanner looks at me like, “Buddy… good luck.” 😂

🔥 THE AGE-OLD QUESTION… HOW MANY MILES IS TOO MANY MILES BETWEEN OIL CHANGES?! 🔥

Alright, folks… let’s settle this one. 😂

You pull into the shop and we slap that little oil change sticker in the corner of your windshield.

It says 5,000 miles.

So what do you do?

👉 Pull in EXACTLY at 5,000?
👉 Wait until 5,500 because “she’s got a little left in her”?
👉 Go by the months instead?
👉 Or are you the person who looks at that sticker once every six months and says, “Huh… I should probably do that.” 🤣

Here’s what we recommend at Rock Street Auto:

We’d rather see your vehicle 300–500 MILES BEFORE the mileage on that sticker than 300–500 miles AFTER it.

Why?

Because life happens. You get busy. You forget. You drive more than you planned. And before you know it, that “I’ll get it next week” turns into another 1,200 miles.

And remember—mileage isn’t the only thing that matters. Time, driving conditions, short trips, towing, idling, extreme temperatures and the type of oil your vehicle requires can all play a role in how often that oil should be changed.

So now we’re throwing this one out to the Rock Street Auto jury! 😂👇
