Happy National Pumpkin Day! 🎃

It's the last week of the season, so here's a challenge for anyone at camp: carve a pumpkin at your site and put it on your picnic table. Best one we spot gets a Story feature.

Need a pumpkin? Saturday is the last regular Durango Farmers Market of the year, so pick one up there.

Shoutout to — thank you for letting HTR Durango be part of the action! 🏈

The DL vs. WR competition brought the energy, and we’re proud to support Skyhawk football right here in Durango.

Coming to town for a home game? Make HTR Durango your game-day home base for glamping, cabins, and camping just minutes from the field. ⛺

Your dog has been looking at the leash hook like it owes them money. Bring them.🦮

HTR Durango is pet-friendly: up to two pets, proof of vaccinations, leashed, and never left alone. There's a dog park for zoomies, and there are trails nearby for sniffing through fallen leaves.

Every camp crew has the same cast of characters. Which one are you? 👇

1️⃣ The 6 AM coffee maker
2️⃣ The one who packed "just in case" everything
3️⃣ The grill boss who won't give up the tongs
4️⃣ The one who forgot the headlamp. Again.
5️⃣ The one asleep in the hammock by 2 PM

Tag your crew and assign everybody a number.

The river gets quieter in October, and plenty of anglers think that's the best part.

The Animas River through Durango holds Gold Medal water, and fall is a great time to fish it. There are fewer tubes and rafts, the cottonwoods along the bank are turning, and you can work a whole run without anybody else in sight.

Make sure your Colorado fishing license is current, bring layers for the chilly morning, and tell us: dry fly or nymph? 🎣

Nearly 5,000 archaeological sites. 600 cliff dwellings. And the ranger-guided tours of the big ones only have about a week left this year.🍁

Cliff Palace and Balcony House tours run through October 21, and so does the Long House area on Wetherill Mesa. If Mesa Verde's been on your list, this is the week.

🍂Leave early, pack water and a warm layer, and give it a whole day. Those canyon-wall villages are one of the best things you can see in Southwest Colorado.
